The Exercise Information System (EXIS) is an official website of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) / Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
Site Security
EXIS takes precautions to maintain the security, confidentiality, and integrity of the information we collect at this site. Such measures include access controls designed to limit access to the information to the extent necessary to accomplish our mission. We also employ various security technologies to protect the information stored on our systems. We routinely test our security measures to ensure that they remain operational and effective.
For site security purposes and to ensure that this service remains available to all users, this government computer system employs commercial software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage.
Unauthorized attempts to change information on this service are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986 and the National Information Infrastructure Protection Act.
This website is monitored to ensure proper operation and to verify the functionality of applicable security features. Anyone using this website consents to such monitoring. Unauthorized attempts to modify any information stored on this website, to defeat or circumvent security features, or to utilize this system for other than its intended purposes may be unlawful and result in criminal prosecution.
Sensitive Security Information
Sensitive Security Information (SSI) is information obtained or developed in the conduct of security activities, the unauthorized disclosure of which the TSA has determined would be detrimental to transportation security. The disclosure and handling of SSI are governed by U.S. Regulation, 49 Code of Federal Regulations Part 1520. Accordingly, special care must be taken to ensure that the recipients of SSI will fully comply with these handling and protection requirements. As persons receiving SSI in order to carry out responsibilities related to transportation security, DHS employees, TSA stakeholders, and non-DHS government employees and contractors, are considered "covered persons" under the SSI regulation and have special obligations to protect this information from unauthorized disclosure.
TSA's EXIS® application is accredited to store SSI. Access to TSA's Exercise Information System (EXIS®) will be granted to individuals following their online application for access at
https://exis.tsa.dhs.gov. Access to EXIS®, including any reports that may be generated by users of this application, is contingent on individual EXIS® users applying the handling and storage safeguards and restrictions on further disclosure set forth in U.S. Regulation, 49 Code of Federal Regulations Part 1520.
