Security Training Resource Catalog Released
Tuesday, March 3, 2020

The Intermodal Security Training and Exercise Program (I-STEP) has released its latest Training Resource Catalog as a resource to help operators identify opportunities for promoting security awareness and to reduce security risks and vulnerabilities in the transportation environment.

The catalog contains over 900 courses and is updated every three years. Data is presented in a downloadable Excel workbook.  The workbook is composed of one color-coded tab for every mode of transportation. The first tab of the Training Resource Catalog contains a list of all transportation modes and the number of courses available by mode, including supplemental security training that is applicable to all transportation modes.

Each modal tab includes the list of courses, including the course details, contact information, the training’s intended audience, training category or mission area, length of training, whether the training is in person or online, any associated fees, and whether college or Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are provided.

“Essentially, the Training Resource Catalog is an extension of outreach to our security partners of security focused training opportunities in the transportation sector,” said Deanna Felder, the I-STEP Training PM.

The TSA I-STEP team appreciates any feedback on how to improve the catalog. Please send any comments to [email protected].

*Please note that the TSA I-STEP Program does not conduct any training in the catalog, nor are they liable for any vendors, losses, etc. derived from any vendors.
